1 January 2013
The darkness engulfed me and water pulled me down,
I couldn't help but pull my face into a terrified frown.
I couldn't scream and I couldn't shout,
My mind was now in a terrible doubt.
I won't survive against Mother Nature,
I can't it's to powerful and full of unknown danger.
Lack of oxygen making me weak,
Keep calm and don't act like a freak.
Savour those very last breaths,
As long as you can- don't walk into death.
Few more minutes and I will be gone,
Only minutes- it won't be long.
But then someone grabs me by the waist,
And takes me to the surface at a fast pace.
Coughing and spluttering I constantly breath,
Oxygen is what I lack but constantly need.
Opening my sore drowsy eyes,
I'm taken by surprise.
My big brother stands before me.
Concerned and soaked as can be.
I sit up slowly and hug him tight,
Nestled my face in his chest to get rid of my fright.
"Thank you." I whispered in his ear.
"Death was very near."
Hot tears trickled down my face,
My breathing not so much a fast pace.
Who ever though my hero was my big brother,
Maybe he's superman undercover.
