Every day I wake up with new determination
Every morning I tell myself I’ll reach a destination
Soon everything will be all right
Soon I’ll never lose my smile.
Just a few hours later and I am trying my best
To stop the tears from showing, to calm the pain in my chest,
Every word you say is as sharp as a knife
Every look you give feels like you slapped me twice.
Cry myself to sleep at night
Pray things will be all right.
Sunrise comes and I wake up with new determination.
Every day is the same
But soon everything will be all right
So I keep hoping and never lose my smile.
