When I was a little girl
About 5 or 6 I wanted to be a spy,
Not a princess or a ballerina...but part of the FBI,
As I grew wiser I change my mind
Realised I can't run very fast and I easily fright...
At 9 I wanted to be a doctor,
Help the wounded heal
With ointments I would concoct...
But alas it was not meant to be
For I almost fainted at the sight of a syringe.
At 13 I wanted to be a chef
Bake cakes and cook to excess,
16 and I wanted to own a salon
Paint faces and make nails look like talons,
20 I wanted to work in nutrition
Go to 3rd world countries and help with food and minimise disease transmission
22 I choose to be a teacher
Educate young minds into wisdom.
Still 22 decided to be a writer
Wrote novels poems and pulled all-nighters.
23 now with a science degree a passion for beauty, writing and a book of my own recipes...
Still trying to understand just what I'm supposed to be.
