Stranger. Chapters 1 to 13
Flo I curled tighter into a ball and tried to create a magical case around my body so I felt safe, but nothing came, no rush of green sparks off my finger tips. I wondered where I was. All I could see was black, my fragile wings giving off a faint, glow of light. Something in here muted my magic, and for the first time in my life I was actually scared. Sam I was hungry; needed blood, I was angry; no change there... I tried to remember where I was and how I got there but my mind was empty, searching the darkness for clues, I sniffed the stale air and caught the slightest hint of a sweet, flowery blood. It made my fangs extend and my version haze, following the smell I came to a solid wall and with all my strength slammed my body against it. Lola I shivered wrapping my long soft wings around my cold body. The cold was biting at me, icy and sharp, who ever brought me here know how to weaken me. Leaning against the wall, with my knees huddled to my chest, I remembered my mother telling me " coldness will drain your powers and send you into a deep slee..." a large jolt disturbed my thoughts and I heard and angry grunt. Ryne I was annoyed, so very annoyed. I was almost certain that I had been kidnapped and pretty certain that I was going to die; that was what annoyed me. I had died 4 times in the last 2 centuries, a car crash in Italy, drowned in the Atlantic, been shot in Alabama and a bear attack in Alaska. And was tired of floating in space until my powers restored, a new power learned and permission given from the council so I could return to earth again, the council where tired of me and even though I was the only Guardian pure blood left and their chance of survival, I still was still treated like a child. A vision took hold of me and I felt the ground fade away. Kai I was being kidnapped. That single thought brought on plenty of others, where was I, why me, how would my step-sister cope with out me, I was alone. But apart from the stream of questions and thoughts my mind was blank.
Ryne He was woken by a guard pulling him to his feet. Then he was taken to a carriage on a train in this carriage there was four teenagers around 14 in age; a vampire, a faerie, a wolf and an angel; she was gorgeous, with long black curls and round emerald eyes, and for the first time in century's I was mesmerised. I was seated by the wolf. By a window, with the vamp opposite, the faerie next to him and the angel next to her. The vamp looked angry, and after a quick pry through his mind I found the cause, the faerie's blood. He responded in his mind "get out". I obeyed his wishes, and broke the silence. " I'm Ryne, The last Guardian." I paused " any ideas where we are?" The wolf spoke " a guardian, what the hell? Are you ok, I mean do you need help?" I heard the vamps mental laughter, but shut it out. " looking through the wolfs mind, I found that he had no idea what he was, quickly I sent him to sleep. " he has know idea what he is." " I'm Flo, faerie......... These people, they know what we are..... I mean they managed to mute my powers." I wondered for a minute " what is your name, vamp?" " Sam, Sam Debar..... Sir." " Hilarious......" the train stopped. I woke up the wolf, I waited. Suddenly the doors opened and the most powerful sorceress I had seen in a long time stepped in " Mrs. Blackhurst, welcome to 'The Academy'".
Lola In the train, with the others. I could not focus; the Gurdian, Ryne. He took control quickly. I could tell that he was powerful. I could only think of Arin my grandfather, he had looked after me once I had fallen, my parents had died and my older brother, Rory, trained as a fallen soldier. I was alone, so Arin had found me, and trained me to be like a fallen solider only not, he had trained me with weapons, helped me to fly and schooled me. I couldn't become a fallen soldier because A) I was under age, you have to be 17 to join. B) I was forbidden, no idea why but all Arin told me was that however much he or I wished, I was forbidden to join. Ryne making the wolf sleep brought me out of my thoughts. Then when Mrs.Blackhurst made an entrance I was so shocked.
Stranger Part 4
Kai
The train was odd but the guy on the train was even worse, I mean guardian. Seriously. This was so crazy but I wasn’t scared. So weird, something inside of me told me I was safe. I opened my eyes. “Kai, can you hear me?” the voice was unfamiliar, “Kai wake up,” they shook me. Then something happened, something broke free inside of me. The last thing I heard was “Sedate it now.”
Sam
The sweet blood was a fae’s and the guardian picked that up in the train, after the train stopped we were taken in a black van with tinted windows and after a short drive we arrived at ‘The Academy’. It was a modern building with white walls and big glass windows there was a main drive then a main building with two large ones branching of from each side I guessed they were dormitories; Boys and girls. Behind this was a massive sports field, a huge sports hall and several classrooms. As we got out the van I noticed the weather was damp and miserable, Mrs.Blackhurst lead us to a canteen where the students were eating lunch. “There is a wide range of creatures here and as you can see they form groups, the wolves, the witches, the elves, the faeries, the warlocks, the vampires, the fallen and the shifters.” Mrs.Blackhurst motioned to different tables around the room “There has never been a guardian here before.” I stared at Ryne then raised an eyebrow. Then I had a thought, I was hungry. “Mrs.Blackhurst what is there for us vampires to eat?” I heard Ryne laugh mentally at the word eat, I ignored him. “Jason come here.” Mrs.B called “ Jason is the vampire prefect, each breed has a prefect that will meet with the council once a month.” She continued “Jason show Sam where to get something to eat.” The tall blonde vamp walked over to the long tables with food on and opened a silver fridge on the floor at the end, inside was several flasks of blood. I picked one up and went and sat with Ryne, he looked at me questioning. I answered in my head “First guardian here mate, need a friend?” I smirked.
Flo
I glanced at the table of faeries sitting at the back of the canteen there where 7 of them. They were looking at me. I heard them snigger at my appearance, I looked nothing like them , the girls wearing skin-tight jeans and Hollister t-shirts and the boys jeans or chinos with designer tops with holes for wings. There was no uniform here, but the different groups wore different things. The faerie girls had long blonde hair which was probably bleached. My violet hair was long and wavy, my combat trousers where army green and baggy, I had on a tight black short sleeve top that was from Primark. They were wearing vans and flip-flops, I was wearing a pair of black boots that were heavy and scuffed. This was what I normally wore because it was comfy and practical. My violet wings poked out of my top. I went over to the food trolleys and picked up an plate of pasta then walked over and sat at the same table as Sam and Ryne.
Lola
I eyed the tables, noticing things. That was Arin’s rule ‘notice things’. The wolves were tanned and muscled, they all sat with their mates, wolves were very protective over their mates. The wolves had a partner for life and shared a special bond. Marriage but with no divorce. It was forever if one died the other died too. The vampires where pale with red eyes, they looked graceful and strong, the one called Jason was only 150years old I sensed, Sam was 379years old. The vampires where young and looked angry as Sam sat next to Ryne. The witches had cold blue eyes and dark hair, one of the 4 caught my eye. She had pink streaks in her hair and was dressed in a black tutu, pink and black stripy tights, a batman top and some big military boots. The fallen were girls dressed in white dresses with white pumps their wings still inside their shoulders. They would be black wings. The fallen often hated their black wings because they thought that it was a punishment from god, by wearing white they were showing that they wanted to be back in heaven. They looked disapprovingly at my black suit with pockets and slots for weapons it was tight and ninja like, my favourite blades where on each hip, some throwing knives in slots on my thigh, I wore this every were I went under my clothes it was similar to the female fallen soldier uniform. My wings hung down touching the floor. I knew my weapons would be taken of me soon. I went and got some pizza then sat down next to Ryne.
Kai
I woke up and it felt like something had been unlocked in my head, then it came back to me. Hazy eyesight and sharp sense of smell, what had happened then, it had felt so right… “Kai,” a warm voice said “ Can you hear me?” I nodded, “I’m Rose, I’m a wolf,” “ wolf ?” I asked, she touched my arm and a stream of pictures and thoughts ran through my head, I suddenly understood. Then my stomach rumbled and she laughed “ come on,” she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the bed.
Ryne
The wolf from the train came in with another wolf, we hadn’t seen him since he got carried off the train. He walked over to the food and picked out a burger then turned and walked back to the wolf table with the she-wolf. They looked at him disapprovingly and one shoved him back, calling him names and taunting the she-wolf; Rose. “ Look what the dog brought in!” I looked quickly into some minds and found out that Rose was a dormant like Kai and couldn’t make the change until she found her mate, the other wolves where cruel to her. I spoke to Rose in her mind “ come here, with Kai,” she tugged on his arm and they walked over to the table, “Sit down,” I said. “ Thank you,” she said nervously. “ Kai, do you understand why they don’t like us?” “ Um no” he had a mouthful of burger in his mouth. “ We are dormant, we only have a tiny amount of wolf blood in our b
