Stranger 16

We entered the main hall where the tables had been moved to the sides and golden lights stung from the high ceiling, students danced on the polished floor. Other students milled around the tables holding food and drink. The high window ledges had been altered now held candles and cushions, and now couples sat looking out in to the beautiful indigo void. I pulled Lola on to the dance floor and placed my hands on her tiny waist, she smiled shyly and hid her head in her hair. It was strange to see the feisty, strong angel so shy. I pulled her a little closer and boldly reached under her hair and cupped her cheek, I suddenly saw my past, the last time I had loved. Centuries and centuries ago. Sighing I dropped my hand. She looked confused at the sad look on my face. I hadn't trusted anyone since, I still had the scars my last love had cost me. I wasn't ready to let myself get hurt again. She obviously read my mind because she looked upset. She reached for my hand and examined the scars, her finger traced the long ridges. "W.. Wh..Who did this to you?" She choked out quietly. I breathed out heavily, "someone who wanted power and used me to get what she wanted." Lola looked at me with sorrow in her beautiful green eyes. " And your not ready to trust me yet" she said as a statement not a question. I nodded sadly. She gave me a little smile which was fake, then stood on tiptoes and kissed me gently on the cheek, I felt moisture on her cheek and as she turned away, I saw the single crystal tear. I felt awful at hurting her. I knew I loved her and I wanted to he to love me back, I would do anything for her and yet I'd pushed her away because off the stupid mistakes I'd made millenniums ago. I watched her walk up to Sofia and murmur a few words to her. Sofi produced an amber blocking stone from her bag and gave Lola a brief hug. Lola tugged on the necklace. Sam stood with Sofi and glared at me. Lola glanced over at me as if to say sorry. She then turned and strode to the door passing a tall vamp who wolf whistled then started to follow her. I swore and in a flash I was holding my silver blade to his throat, his red eyes bulged. "Don't you ever ever go near her again" I yelled at his pale frame. He shuffled back into the hall. I teleported to my room and changed into some grey jogging bottoms and a navy top then grabbed a towel. Walking out my room just so I could slam the door and let out some of the bubbling anger. I entered the gym and went to fetch my favourite weapons; the gold daggers. Which weren't there, so I grabbed the nearest blade and swung it around hitting the metal beam in the middle of the store room. I hit it over and over again hearing the satisfying clang as the sword dented the beam. The pounding was doing little to let out my anger, so I pulled off my sweaty t-shirt and threw it across the floor with the weapon. I ran outside into the pouring rain and flew skywards pelting the trees with lightening; at every bolt the dark sky lit up purple. The trees smoked creating a fog. I continued to throw bolts at the earth creating craters in the field. I landed on the top of the football goal and sat, letting the freezing water drench me.

Lola
I pounded the hanging punch with the daggers, he didn't trust me.I understood why he wouldn't trust me but it still hurt. I was confused at the fact he had started it. It was like the memories haunted him. The bag split and the filling fell on the floor. Oops. I went outside and found a fat tree, I threw the knives through the rain and they hit the tree with a satisfying thud as they split the bark. Lightening cackled and I shivered, I flew into my dorm and pulled off my torn wet dress, throwing on some pyjamas I slid under the covers of my bed and curled into a ball, wrapping my wings around me.
