Chapter 2. Exhibit A (Part 3)
"Are you alright Crystal?" She asked pausing. Her fingers hovering over the telephone key pad.
"It's..." I reach over and pull the cord of the phone out the wall.
"What are you doing?" Maureen says and then tries to make a dash for the door. I grab the empty cash register tray. Smack it goes into the back of her head. I drag her out the office by her legs and get caught by No Brain Suzanne.
"Is Maureen alright?" She gasps.
"Yeah. She just fainted." I reply. "Can you give me a hand.?"
"Sure." Suzanne says trying to lift Maureen up by her shoulder. We start walking with Maureen's weight swinging inches above the floor between us. Suzanne leads us out into the store, walking backwards.
"She's really heavy." Suzanne huffed. "All those cream cakes she's always reducing. Greedy cow!"
Suzanne makes grumbling noises as she continues to help with carrying Maureen's body. "Yuck, there's jam in her hair. Messy pig!" Suzanne tried to hold Maureen's body away from her and pulled a disgusted face. "How foul!"
Suzanne complained all the way to the freezer section. She looked over her shoulder as we turned the corner and screamed, dropping Maureen onto the floor.
"Look Crystal!" Suzanne waved her arms at Brian who was still laying on the floor right next to Daz's blood trail. He looks hurt. Do you think he fainted too?"
Suzanne ran over and then caught sight of Daz in the freezer. His face pressed up against the glass. His empty eyes staring back at her. She pressed her face against the glass to get a closer look and then leaped back. "Aghhh!" She let rip a blood curdling scream.
"What is it?" I ask running to her side.
"Look! Look!" Her shaky finger pointed at Daz's corpse.
"Quick, we best get him out." I open the glass. "Help me Suzy."
"Oh my god." Suzanne walked slowly shaking with each step towards the freezer. "I think... I think he's dead." She looks at me and bites her lip. "Do you think someone killed him?"
She looks down at Brians twisted limbs, "He probably tried to stop them. Brian's a hero. What if the killer is still here." Suzanne starts to look around the store.
"Just help me!" I reached into the freezer to lift Daz's head. "Can you get his legs?"
Suzanne nodded and reached into the freezer to grab Daz's legs as I slammed the lid down on her head.
"What did you do that for?" Suzanne looked a bit dazed and stumbled about as she rubbed her head. I opened the next freezer and grabbed her roughly. Once I had a good rugby hold on her, I tossed her into the freezer.
"What are you doing?!" She tried to fight back.
"Shh! It's a game." I smacked the lid down on her face.
"Ouch my nose!" She complained and pushed up the lid back up. "I don't like this game."
I pushed the lid down and reached for Brian on the floor. I managed to grab his arm and haul his body up to me. Suzanne was pushing against the glass and the lid began to lift but I pulled Brian up from the floor and slung the dead meat of his weight down on top of the lid.
Suzanne started screaming at Brian's lifeless face staring back at her. She was beginning to come to terms with her fate. I then walked off to find something heavy to place on the lid and came back on camera a few minutes later with the television from the staff room. I placed it on top of Suzanne's freezer and moved Brian's body.
I then began putting my remaining colleagues into individual freezers. Until all their bodies were disposed of. I checked on Suzanne and smiled as I saw her sleeping in her icy coffin. Safe that she was dead, I removed the television and returned it to the staff room. I then continued with locking the store up before going home for the night, only this time I did the rounds on my own.

It felt bizarre to watch myself doing things that I had no recollection of doing. It was me in the video but at the same time it wasn't. I knew I'd never do those things. They were my colleagues, my friends. I couldnt come up with a logical answer, how I could possibly have been framed for their murders with something as substantial as CTV footage as evidence. I knew though without shadow of doubt that it wasn't me. I am innocent even if nobody believes me.
