1. Send out a query letter for Drift. Just cause the last agent wasn't interested doesn't mean nobody is. I believe it is.
2. Write and submit a short supernatural cat story to Cat's Cradle Yarns. Hopefully they will like it enough to include it in their anthology.
3. Start the OU free course in Writing Fiction. I've always wanted to do a course on fiction writing but never have the money (or time). Everything I've learnt, I've taught myself.
4. Clean the car. I've had it a few years now and never hoovered inside. Yesterday, after a traumatic visit to the vets, I got my manager to park my car and I was actually embarrassed to give him the keys, not because I'd given up at parking but because it was that filthy inside. :(
5. Write a flash fiction, short story or poem for the Birdport Prize - ends this month. Currently, feel like entering all three categories. Usually I never write poetry but thanks to Opuss, short writing bursts, I am. It's like I've discovered a new talent I never knew I had. :)
6. Write a story on The Sea for the H.G.Wells competition (for July). I've already got an idea in my head so I'm excited to get started on this one! Although, it's not urgent, it's very possible it could jump the gun and be the first thing I do. Prioritise - I will try to be strict with myself!
7. Tidy upstairs. Yesterday, I got home from work and my husband had tidied downstairs. He still got in trouble for throwing that "box of crap" out from under the stairs out. That "box of crap" was my dead grandmas things. Luckily he'd put it in the recycle bin so was easy for him to go get my "box of crap" back! He is amazingly good at tidying up it's like a super ability. I'm hoping leaving this until last it will be done him as that will look much better than if I attempt it.
