I felt it sharp
In my chest
I felt it climbing
Up my neck
Stuck in my throat
An awkward lump
Kept moving up
Into my mouth
My tongue licked
Against its sticky form
Running dry
My words had gone
The veins crept out
Past my lips
And down my face
Felt obvious
They trundled down
Tangled my legs
Just like vines
My restraints
I couldn't run
My feet at bay
Here with you
Is where I'll stay
The blood pumped
From my heart
Flooded my mind
Stole every part
It was too much
Ran from my eyes
Blinded to see
Or undo the ties
Blood pumps warm
It feels good
I wouldn't change it
Even if I could
