Task: Write the opening chapters and synopsis for a crime novel. The opening chapters cannot be more than 3,000 words. The synopsis should be between 500 and 1,000 words.
Entrants cannot have previously had a full length manuscript published. Manuscript must be on A4 paper, 1.5 lines spacing, title and page number on every page, Include a title page with the length noted - do not give your name. Loose pages - do not staple of bind.
Deadline: 22 July 2012
Fee: £10 (plus you can pay an additional £5 to hear the judges comments - declare this on your entry form)

Crime Writers looking to build a portfolio or get published.
What is the prize?
The winning entry will be read by a major publisher and by a leading agent. In addition, there will be a cash prize of £100. The judge may also arrange for an exceptional runner up to be read by an agent or publisher.
