Script Frenzy

Being the last day if April, this is coming to an end. Did you take part? If so, how did you get on?

I've often wanted to give it a go but worry over the layout of how to present a script. Should there be a summary of characters, should each scene open with a description of the location? Do you include how the characters should be feeling?

I've had lots of ideas for scripts but this initial hurdle always holds me back. Has anyone else given this a go?

absolutely! I've written two and a half scripts, and it is a ton of fun. there are quite a few guidelines, of course I won't write them here, but there are books that you could purchase that will be a world of help. or, you can do what I did, and search the Internet for scripts of famous movies. I found and downloaded the script for "Pulp Fiction" and it has been a great teacher. I also downloaded the free script writing program celtx for the computer. with those two things by my side, I've learned a ton. definitely download celtx! it's free and the most useful tool, if you haven't already got it :) sorry for the long comment!

The way that characters are feeling is usually shown through what they are saying, hope this helps!

@aphylls really helpful comment. I'll try and find that download you mentioned and see if I can get my hands on the Pulp Fiction script. Thanks :)
