Frames and pictures, peeling walls.
Faded paintings haunt the halls.
Dusted floorboards, empty beds,
Withered air of pain and dread.
Fading sobs that fill the house,
The faint memoir of wife and spouse,
That walk the halls in aimless stroll,
Their worn-out souls make heart-yearned calls.
Lovers, once, now side-by-side,
Their curse the suffer, groom and bride,
Forgotten, washed-out, fade bystanders,
With the lingering step of one who wanders,
The house's alive with hollow cries,
And for their love, they pay the price.
