With sword of silver, shield in hand, I wait patiently for your command. Held tightly in your warm embrace, Your gentle smile, your lovely face.

Yet sun goes down, my sword comes up, Your slumber I shall not disrupt. As light goes out and dark sweeps in— I am the Guardian of your Dreams.

They cannot hide, they can't escape, No nightmares shall or will take shape. My silver sword has sworn an oath, Against dark thoughts, protect us both.

Into the dark I venture, child, I'm here to tame what has gone wild, My life I'll risk, just for a while, So morning brings your face a smile.

My tattered cape flows in the wind, Anticipating foe and fiend. A furious war I'll gladly fight, To keep you safe throughout the night.

The liquid stars shining above, I've kept on going just for love. My shield glimmers in the setting moon, It's time to go back, I'll see you soon.

I put down my sword, squeeze under your arm, At least I know you're safe from harm. I am the Guardian of your Dreams,

But you'll never know, you've never seen.
