The essence of the story is the relationship between these three siblings their parents were killed when they were younger by a Demon as it turns out they are descendents of a line of Druids that date back to before the Iron Age in Ireland ancient Celtic Warriors related to a clan who traveled to America travel to actually Boston together in the late 18th century and from there

Did spread the power of Oberon throughout the country what I want to get with it is that yes there is the magic in the supernatural stuff yeah but what's important what the center of the story is actually supposed to be is the relationship between these characters with the added surprise of the supernatural so what's been really tough for me is kind of trying to pull back and then taking the small details of small little idiosyncrasies of each character and making sure that the supernatural stuff accents that not necessarily becoming the focus point so what you have is you have three siblings who are descendents of an ancient line of druids Druids are the protectors of the divine around which is called Oberon Oberon is ruled by the Sidhe Druids have to have a relationship with the Sidhe in some form or another which becomes interesting later on and in the first book for Breslin and then and later on in the second third books for Ash Rory is introduced to the Sidhe by way of an Archon protection detail Archons are kind of these ethereal bodyguards for for the Royal family of the Sidhe so between Rory's first encounter was with a Sidhe which is actually Sinead who's actually Breslin's ex and then she meets the archons who end up being sort of being hired as her protection while Ash and Breslin are figuring out this whole clan patriarch mess and she kind of really doesn't know what to make of them she she knows what Oberon is and she knows her the power comes from but she she has a hard time understanding her role and not only the family but in the larger scheme of things which is a problem for Breslin – as well Ash spent quite a few years building a sort of a reputation in the clan and to find out that Rory is kind of the missing piece that could bring this whole conflict to an end it's a little bit bit of a ball buster for him as well I mean Breslin has been fighting her whole life almost and Ash comes in later on into the clan and then and then as it turns out it's not the weakest one necessarily but definitely the least experienced Conner who is the key
