364 days of the year Bug's morning routine goes along the lines of: Wake up Stretch & curse at the early day (8am! Hardly early!) Shower Dress Breakfast Get on with day
Today, however, is the one day when I insist he be less sensible & grown up!
Today goes like this: Me: (prodding him in the arm/ear/head) get up! Get up get up get up! Santa's been! Come ooooooonnnn! Buuuuuuugggggyyyy! Come on! Bug: urgh! Can't I have my shower first? Me: nope! (More prodding!) get up! Now!
Then it's straight into the living room & start on the present opening. No sensible breakfast allowed! Eat anything from your stocking & only after everything is opened, then you can have "proper" food if you must!
We've spent this morning doing the phone call thank you's before heading to the land that mobile phones have forgotten... I.e. my sister-in-laws. We have entertained the kids, eaten enough to feed a small army & are now enjoying a wee Christmas sherry.
Santa was very kind to both of us & we're hoping for a chilled out evening!
