That little red breast pops up at my window telling me that winter is here.
That little red breast pops up at my window telling me that Grandma is near.
It's 8 years since we lost her so quickly & unexpected, A DVT we never knew & that was never detected.
It left Grandad shell shocked, helpless & ever so upset. He wasn't the only one to feel that we will never forget.
Christmas was hard for all of us, she filled it with such love. Robins her Christmas favourite in lieu of the usual dove.
Whenever I see that Robin red breast it tells me that she's here, looking out for each of us especially at this time of year.
Grandad went to join her 3 years in October past, They're missed each & ever day, a feeling that will probably last.
Christmas does get easier the more of them that pass, That little Robin keeps us shining like a plate of brass.
So I welcome that little red breast at this time of year, Although tinged with sadness Robin reminds us they are near.
We keep them in our hearts each & every day, At Christmas time it goes to show we're loved in a special way.
Merry Christmas Grandma & Grandad xxxx
