Most presents are bought,
Just 2 left to go,
One for family,
One for who knows?
It's a Secret Santa,
For someone at work,
I'm not that keen,
She's a bit of a jerk.
I'm surrounded by gifts,
None of them mine,
They all need wrapped,
And for once I have time,
But I'm putting if off,
Decs need to be done,
It probably takes two,
And today I am one!
So whilst Bug's at work,
Dealing with little ones,
I'll decorate, I'll wrap,
When he's home I'll be done,
Then tonight, when there's wine,
And the Dancing is on,
We can sit, view & listen,
To the Christmas songs.
The house will look festive,
the tree will be up,
And the presents, now wrapped,
Will be all tucked up
Under the tree ready for the day,
The day in 2 weeks(ish) when we're away.
We're off to see family far-flung & near,
After all it's the time to see those we hold dear.
Now before I go grab my little tea cup,
I think, that for now, I've got it wrapped up!
