Part 10:
As she explained to me what happened I dropped to my knees. "I don't know who hit him though. They said that the car was dented badly.." she thought about what she had said. "I'm sorry Silas I shouldn't have said that.." You're fine, go inside.." I spoke from under my breath. "Tell Mom that I went to see him and don't tell her what happened.. I'll tell her." she nodded at me. When I got into the car I drove to the scene of the accident and saw Kenny's car parked next to the curb. His driver door was bent forward folding against the hood of his car. I parked my car about ten feet from his. I walked out and stepped over to see it forgetting the caution strips around the area. "What hit him?.." I asked myself. "Another car but they can't find the driver nor can they find the vehicle."
I freaked out and turned around to see a strangers face. "Sorry I didn't mean to startle to you. The names Luke. I was here when it happened, matter of fact I was the one to report it. He was hit by the your schools head football coach." "How do you know I go to that school?" I asked still unsure of him. "I go to your school believe it or not. Just started today" he said so quaint like he needed me to believe him. His eyes stated to widen like he had seen something behind me. I looked to see if anything was there and looked back, nothing.. "You okay?.. " I asked. "Uhm I'm fine!.. Yeah I'm good! I have to go, see you around" and he ran off. I turned around again to see nothing. I squinted down the street and about fifty yards away, red eyes disappeared. I looked back to find Luke but he was gone. I have not seen this kid at school. "What was he doing here still I had thought.. Could he have seen what I had saw?" I asked myself.
I went to the hospital to check up on Kenny but he was asleep. I sat beside his bed just wishing that I could do anything to make him feel better. I bowed my head and laid my hand on his heart. "God?.. I know I haven't spoken to you in awhile.. And I know that I only come to you when I need you and I apologize for that.. But please.. I can't lose him!.." tears began to fall down my face. I look up and stared at Kenny's heart monitor steadily beeping.. The pulse low.. Weak.. I dropped my head again. "I promise that I will do whatever I can.. I will do what ever it is that you want me to.. Just send his angels to guard him. Heal him.. Please?..." I begged but nothing.. My back began to break. "Agh!" I screamed.. I ran to the door and locked it and dropped to the ground. I cried out in pain as my wings began to tear through my back like sharp blades and I blacked out.
