"I had no idea I needed help Kenny?.." I said wondering what he meant. "Dude! You said you need help learning more about your abilities, why won't we knock em all out of the park at once!" he said excitedly "Not only that but I could learn how to control the ones that I know about.." I said quietly thinking hard.. "Fine, I'll do it!" "Yes!!! Dude man I'm stoked bro! We start today after school!" he hollered. People around the lunch room looked at us including Danny, Kevin, and Elli. "Dude calm down!.. We have to stop causing so much attention man what if someone wonders what we are talking about?.." I punched at his arm. "Alright alright.." he said quietly. "Awe dude I can't do it tonight!.. I'm taking Elli out with us.."Dude.. You gotta cancel.." he replied quickly. "I can't Kenny.. That would be messed up?!" "Is it man? You need to get these abilities on lockdown before anything else what if your wings shoot out randomly?" "Ugh!!.. Fine okay.. I got it.." I knew this was the right choice but I didn't want to admit to Kenny that he was right.
*Elli's POV*
Silas looked a little disappointed as him and Kenny finished their conversation. He walked over here and smiled as if everything was okay. "So what were you guys talking ab---" "Nothing!.." Silas replied quickly. I thought about why he tried to cover what they were saying to each other. "We were talking about my accident and how I felt so much better so quickly!" Kenny replied. "I heard about that.." I said suspiciously, "are you sure your okay?" "Yeah I'm fine." he said looking at Silas. I looked over to Silas and then back to Kenny catching a real quick wink. I hate it when people keep things from me but I don't expect them to tell me after all, I am new. I thought up a plan though. "So Silas you still picking me up at 5:30?" I said excitedly. His faced frowned a little. He looked up at Kenny and then at me but he was nervous. I looked at Kenny to see him shaking his head no and then stopping as he looked at me and smiled. "You guys aren't serious right?.. Just say Silas?" I asked "I can't make it tonight I have stuff to do but I promise tomorrow would be better?" he said it all quickly but it was cute. I smiled at him nodded. "But you better not back down this time" I winked. He smiled at me. Still something didn't feel right, like he was hiding something.
*Silas POV*
She smiled back at me but something still didn't seem right. I brushed it off and didn't think about it any longer. "You think Coach is gonna make us do a lot?" Danny asked. "I hope not" I said. It's Thursday, he usually makes us run a bit and do some plays but we never connect" Kevin said surely. "I wonder if He is okay from what happened yesterday?" I asked. "He is fine," said Kenny. "I went to check on him today and we talked about it for a bit and I apologize to him and all that." "Good, he will take it easy on us then haha" Danny laughed and raised his hands for a high five and Kevin's hand landed. "It was weird" I said. "There was a kid there yesterday at the scene, said he saw it all and was the one to call the police" I tried to remember his name. "Starts with an "L".. Uh.. " I said, feeling it at the tip of my tongue. "Luke?" Elli replied. "Yeah!!.. Wait?.. How did you know?" i asked curiously.
