Part 17:
I began to sweat. I looked around as the noises got louder. I looked at a girl, Katie, and notice her staring at the clock. "Ugh.. I wanna get outta here, she didn't even teach us this stuff" and two seats to her right was a kid name Ryan. "I can't believe they are getting a divorce, I thought we were okay?" I turned around to see Miss Warnos at her desk. "Why won't he call me back.. I'm not unattractive am I?" she said.. Except she didn't say all of this.. None of them did. Could I have possibly heard there thoughts? *RING!* I looked at the clock and realize class was over and that was the fastest class period ever. I filled in random bubbles and looked up to see Miss Warnos making her way to me. "You, after school in this class" she said. "Ugh c'mon Miss Warnos I have practice?.." I begged. "It'll only be a sec so hush" "Alright" I said and grabbed my things."
I thought to myself about whether or not I was in trouble. Not only that but man.. "I can hear people's thoughts" I said whispering excitedly. I wondered why my wings hadn't bothered me yet today but I was find with it. During passing time while walking to my other class, at the corner of my eye I could see that kid from yesterday. Luke I think his name was. I turned slowly as if everything was in slow motion. He was about ten feet away leaning against a locker. Our eyes locked on, something about the kid rubbed me the wrong way. He looked as if he were a junior. His hair a little spikier than mine. His eyes dark like he hasn't had enough sleep. "Stay away from her" I can hear him say. My eyes widened and I looked away. Realizing that his mouth didn't move. "How did he know?.. My minds playing tricks on me.. " I turned around but he was gone. Where could he have gone and does he know about me or what I am, and what did he mean by her?
The rest of the day was pretty normal but at lunch today, Elli joined me and the boys. I introduced them to her and told them about how she was coming to our "hangout place". "That's PRETTY cool that you guys have one" she said. "It's really cool because you can hang out and do homework if you wanted to, there's a bunch of board games. Plus, the owner is very cool with us, and I work there part time" Danny said. "You can buy smoothies, slushy's, other drinks like monsters. There's also random foods there like panini's to even sushi." said Kevin. "It's fun we just mess around usually and talk" I shrugged at her and we laughed. "You guys gonna have some fun without me?" Kenny said from afar. "Hey dude? I didn't think you were gonna be back today?" I said cheerfully. "I'm not haha, I'm just hear for lunch and to hang with you guys for a bit. Let you guys know I'm okay." "Kenny this is Elli" Introducing the two. "How do you do?" he said laughing. "I am good thank you, How about yourself?" "I am great thank you for asking, but I do need to borrow Silas from you guys if you guys don't mind?" "No your good" Kevin and Danny said. Elli winked at me and said "Don't be too long?" and I smiled. "What's up?" I said walking over to Kenny. We sat down in the corner table about five from the table we were at. "I know how I can help you!"
