For a tasty tweak to roast chicken, put half a lime (or half a small lemon for another version) in the cavity before putting in the oven. Roll the lime before you cut it to get more juice. Keep the other half to add to the gravy if you fancy a bit more zing.

Serve with all the usual bits. Roast potatoes and savoy cabbage my particular favourites.

Best way to cook a medium sized chicken? Follow Hugh fearnley-whittingstall's approach. 15-20m @220C, then 45mins or so @180C. Always Check juices run clear. Be sure to rest for 5-10mins.
