Coach don't you see me trying my best? Just like everyone else I have plans, I have goals, and just like everyone else I deserve to achieve those goals. Just because I am not on the podium, just because I wasn't born a runner, does that mean i shouldn't be allowed to run in college? i had to work and work for years to get to this point. And i made it damn far! 3 years ago I could barely run 10 minutes without collapsing. Just like those who won titles at states and nationals who fulfilled their potentials, so did I. I didn't get as far as them but at the same time maybe I made it farther. Why should I be punished for working equally as hard? Now that I am emailing college coaches i realize that I have no track times to send to them because I was never allowed to run. I was always too slow compared to the rest. But I deserve a chance too! Please coach I need a chance. If you would just give me half of the attention you give the top runners, then I know I can be more than what I am now. I am not asking to be given a shot at the moon, but just the stars, which are just enough of a challenge for me.
