I humbly bare my soul to the night and beg your protection. When death everlasting wishes to take me, my soul will be yours. Until that time, shield me from blades in the darkness and carry me through the storm. Night is your domain, but the night is dark and full of perils. Wrap me in your shroud of shadows and hide me from the light. Grant me strength and keep the wolves from my heels when failure is certain and my heart falters. I am the shadow on the wall, the wind through the trees, the watcher in the dark. At the hour of my death I will return, and in death everlasting may I know your grace.
