Was watching the news this morning,

Talking about Christmas dawning,

And the yearly drink driving campaign,

This year it's not quite the same,

The police are doing stop checks,

In the morning on people's breaths,

Apparently they are more likely to catch you then,

Want statistics grab a pen,

One unit of alcohol takes one hour to break down,

So when you're on a night out in town,

Sloshing them back like there flavoured fizzies,

Remember that the police are getting busy,

Ready and waiting for you when dawn breaks,

Ready for you to make the most fatal of mistakes,

Driving past them on the way to work they'll stop you,

They'll do the breath test on you too,

I don't drink so I'm alright,

But don't drink and drive its far from polite,

You may think your in control,

But alcohol has its way of taking its toll,

And before you know it you've caused a death,

Death by dangerous driving no less,

Imprisonment for the matter of this crime,

In there you could spend quite a long time,

You'll regret your decision every single day,

So don't drink and drive or keep out of alcohols way.
