Mum you've been so low, I want to take you back a step, To a place where you felt rock bottom, Where you struggled to take a breath.
Dad fucked off and left us all, On Christmas Eve of all days, He cheated on you and messed up your head, And hurt you in so many ways.
Really that was the end, But it wasn't the beginning of it, The long and short of it was, Dad never did give a shit.
He didn't appreciate the person you are, Soft and kind and gentle, Sometimes you may have your scatty days, And sometimes I think you're just mental.
But you brought me and my brother up, All on your own, You struggled and worked so hard, Nothing but love left your lips not even a solitary groan.
I remember those days like they were yesterday, How down and depressed you were feeling, But then before my eyes you transformed, Stronger more confident showing evidence that your heart was healing.
You are strong though you may not feel it, You are brave even though at times you may feel scared, You are determined never giving up hope, You are loving always showing you care.
You are inspiring even though you don't see it, Just remember this when you feel low, Strength is found from being at rock bottom at times, And this helps us as humans grow.
Try to live for the moment, Forget about the past, If you look after today, The future won't catch up with you too fast,
Don't regret a single mistake you made, Their not mistakes merely lessons we've learnt, By living in the moment the minute the second, It will hand you the fantastic future you have earnt,
I only hope when I reach your age, I'm as fabulous as you are, Don't ever change for anyone, You are the brightest shining star.
We love you so very much, Words can't explain it any other way, Just continue being who you are, We love what you are today.
