The moon lit up the cobbles, As the stars lit and dazzled the sky, Lanterns rise and illuminate, The faeries as they fly,

Little orbs of glowing light emerge, To the spectators eyes of awe, A light show like no other, What is there not to adore,

The faeries only show themselves, Once a year to bring, Happiness and joy, To a world so full of sin,

Human race believe the lights, Are fireflies or unexplainable, But the faeries light the sky, And bring forth the unobtainable,

For one day a year, Differences are forgotten, Different races and creeds stand together, Kindness and love stand tall - nothing rotten,

The faeries bring magic and joy, To a somewhat faltered society, For one evening a year, We forget the trouble and sobriety,

In arms as a nation, We come together to witness the light, We embrace the faeries light show, That enamours us at night.
