They say that painkillers kill the pain,
When in fact they just shut off the pain pathway to your brain,
The pain is still very much there,
But you can't feel it so you don't care,
Paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine to name a few,
All different sizes all different hue's,
Different shapes and forms, methods of administration,
I wish that they would work for me that's my frustration.
Injections tablets there's even a patch,
With all of the strong med's there's always a catch,
Take me and I will take your pain away,
And make you walk round like a zombie all friggin day,
Ill make you feel sick and just not with it,
To be honest if that's the trade off I'd rather feel like shit!
