I've got paper piles everywhere, Notebooks and diaries too, Disorganisation is not in my name, But this stacks so high I can't see through,

Paper with poems, Diaries with dates, Notebooks with numbers, Paper frustrates,

Client and staff files, Dissertations to write, Unfinished poems, Ink blurring my sight,

Putting them all in a pile, Doesn't make them neat, To organise my mess, Is a massive arduous feat,

All I really want to do, Is chuck it all in the bin, Minus my words of poetry, Doing that would be a capital sin,

Shove them in a drawer, Out of sight out of mind? I don't think so, I'll know they're still there, I've not got X-ray vision but I'm not blind,

The drawer wouldn't shut, With the amount of paper I hold, Some A4 size but others, I've scrunched or added a fold,

I've to-do lists stacked up, They're a mile high, If I don't organise this mess, It'll soon be at the sky,

I'm too tired to even bother, Ill just shuffle it around my desk, Then add that task to my list, Of things I need to do next.
