Her heart distorted frantically, In the eerie night air, She couldn't look away, For the Prince held her stare,
In the misty night he stood, There to take her away, To rescue her from the clutches of evil, His eyes told the message he conveyed,
She had lived in the nightmare, For far too long, And when she held his gaze, The nightmare was vanishing - gone,
Her life had been one long evil, A fairytale was not her life, Until her Prince came today, He came to make her his wife,
Before his presence was known, She was abused hurt and beaten, Not one care for her thoughts, She was a slave for the murderous heathen,
Scars marred her skin, Yet she was still a vision of beauty, For the Prince there was no other, And he'd came to fulfil his duty,
As a child she had a good life, Until she was stolen for her face, Her beauty was striking like a rose, So evil wanted her within their race,
Evil was ugly inside, Yet beautiful on the out, Evil liked other beautiful people, So they took her with no remorse or doubt,
They used the beautiful girl, For their ill gotten gains, The beautiful girl didn't understand, Her tears mirrored the rain,
But Prince knew all about her, He'd known her for a long time, She was the apple of his eye, The beauty of the bells chime,
He fought through the dark forest, To find and rescue his love, When he had first laid eyes on her, He thought she was an angel from above,
He rode his trusty steed, For thousands and thousands of miles, And now he stood before her, Hoping she'd recognise him and smile,
But in this misty clearing, All she could do is stand and glance, Waiting for Prince to speak, Praying this was her chance,
He started to step forward, And outstretched the palm of his hand, He got close and whispered in her ear, "Come my love, you belong in fairytale land",
Just then something in his voice, Sparked a memory in her head, "Do I know you?" she whispered fragilely, As Prince wiped a tear she'd shed,
He looked into her hazel eyes, To the sadness he would tend, "We belong together", "You were my childhood friend",
"I've loved you since the day", "I laid my eyes on you", "Prince is my name", "And I'm here to make your dreams true",
Suddenly she remembered, The life she had before, Before the evil and the pain, Overwhelmed she fell to the floor,
This Prince was the boy she once knew, As a child before she had been took, She loved him long ago, But was told that her memories weren't true they were from a book,
Realising the reality that stood before her, She took Princes hand in her own, She said "I've loved you since I was young too", "Please may you take me home"
And that's the end of the story, Sometimes fairytales come true, The Prince and Princess were happy, Even with everything she's been through,
Sometimes you have to ride the storm, To find the Prince in life, You may have to kiss many frogs, Before you become Prince Charming's wife.
