Snowflakes falling a gentle drift of white,
Making the sky glow an orange hue at night,
Silently falling whilst we sleep,
Waking up to snow that's almost knee deep,
Out come the wellies and big warm gloves,
The snow crisp and white like a flighted dove,
Making angels in the snow,
Crunching footprints as we go,
Laughter and children all around,
The noise they make is such a beautiful sound,
Joyous cheer full of the festivities,
Building huge snowmen that's on the list of activities,
How much fun the snow can bring,
One word of warning though here's the thing,
Never ever touch a bit of snow,
That's stained with the colour of dirty yellow,
You never know what you may catch,
Other than that go enjoy your snowball throwing match,
Me and my kids will be playing happily making the best of the snow,
Before you know it it'll be melting and go,
Not before it turns all dirty and grey,
Looks like its time to stop the play,
I love the snow but hate the slush,
Can't build a damn thing with that stupid mush.
