(Year 6) My first class was potions, the only time me and Harry saw each other was meals, free period, and between classes. I was really good at potions. "Perfect Claire" said Slughorn. He stared at my mixture, and nodded. "Thanks Professor Slughorn" I said. He gave me a thumbs up, and wrote something down on his clipboard before heading to the next kid.
I skipped lunch and spent my time in the common room. I already had a bit of homework.
I couldn't believe it was my 6th year, it wasn't as fun as I had imagined though. Harry usually was not seen until midnight he would turn up in the common room. I knew he was taking lessons, but what about his girlfriend? I confronted him a week later, when he was raving on about Snape and Malfoy being evil. "Harry...I have to break up with you" I said, Harry looked at me. "What...why?" Harry blurted out. "I'm sorry just-" "Claire-" he held my arm gently. "No" I pulled away, my stomach felt queasy like I had just spun around for 5 hours straight. I had a pounding headache, and it felt hard to breath. A big lump stopping all the air. Hermione stopped me before entering the girls dormitory. "Claire!" I stared at Hermione's startled eyes. "What..are...you...doing?" Hermione lashed out. "Going to my room, now if you can-" Hermione shook her head. "No, I won't Claire." "Step aside" I threatened, through gritted teeth. "What did you do to Harry?" I pushed past her, "nothing" I said, before slamming the door shut. I heard Hermione storm off to comfort Harry. "Marry him...whatever. I don't care Hermione" I whispered to my self. Vaguely feeling a bit better, Hermione was right but I wasn't telling her that after our fight. "What would Dumbledore say?" I thought, "my parents?" I say up, my parents! They were never there for me. I was raised alone, the only time they comforted me. Was when I became a wizard, and Dumbledore was always there. "Not now" I growled, Dumbledore seemed to be avoiding me. When I passed, he seemed very interested in a statue or would stir up conversation with one of the paintings. It drove me crazy, it was like the whole world was against me. Out of all people...why me?
The gang avoided me, only Neville and Luna stuck to my side. "I'm depressed" I said, Luna tilted her head and giggled. "Quibbler?" I accepted it, it might cheer me up. Neville was busy reading a book on herbology, his favorite subject. Hogsmeade was magnificent, we went every once and awhile to get some butterbeer and licorice. Harry stopped me in the halls to talk. "Draco's a deatheater" said Harry, I growled. "Go away" "Listen to me" I walked away. "Claire!" Draco, a deatheater? I wasn't sure, could I trust Harry. He always seemed a bit crazy, and insecure. Until... I crouched down next to Harry, and watches the scene unraveling before me. Snape, Draco, Bellatrix, and Dolohov. And my heart stopped, Dumbledore. I wanted to yell out, run or do something. But instead I crouched lifelessly. Snape raised his wand, Dumbledore stood there, his wand a few feet away. "Now Severus-" I missed his voice. "Avada Kedavra!" I gasped, Snape caught my gaze. And slightly tilted his head. Before dashing down the stairs with everyone else. Harry tore away, his wand out. I stood there dumbfounded before whipping out my wand and joining Harry. I threw as many spells as I could, until I fell. I panted, my arms shook. Snape leaped into the forbidden forest. "Foolish!" I muttered to myself. Harry helped me up. I dig my head into his shoulder. "D-Dumbledore" I whispered, we walked over to him. Falling off the tower... Hagrid hobbled over. "Move aside, what are you all looking at" he stopped dead in his tracks. "Professor Dumbledore?" "Whoever did this, I'll-" he let out a few curse words. Professor McGonagall hurried over. "Hagrid please" she spotted Dumbledore, and gasped. "Hagrid, escort the students to their common rooms please." She spotted me and Harry. "Claire...Harry" she motioned for me to come over. "I'm sorry." I hung my head, Dumbledore. Harry wrapped an arm around me, I stared at Dumbledore one more time. "He was the greatest grandfather ever" I muttered. "He was your grandfather" I wiped a tear away and nodded. I held out my palm, catching a tear. It grew into a elegant red rose. "For Dumbledore" I said, placing the rose in his hand.
"We honor Dumbledore today" said Professor McGonagall. She stared at me, my turn to go up. My parents gave me a warm smile as I came up. "Dumbledore..." I wiped a tear away. "Was a amazing headmaster, friend, and grandfather. He cared so much about Hogwarts, the students, and being a good person. We will all miss him, let Dumbledore all be in our hearts." I nodded, and everyone approached Dumledore's tomb, some stayed longer. Weeping over their lost headmaster. I held up his wand, once everyone was seated. I took out my rose, and placed the wand in his hands. "Let this rose be placed in the middle of our hearts...for Dumbledore." Everyone closed their eyes, smiles appeared within the crowd, as Dumbledore touched them once more with the same love and friendship. At the end of the funeral, the tomb was closed and placed on a white marble(the same as the tomb) stage. So everyone could pay their respects. Mom and dad hugged me. "Claire...you cared so much about your grandfather didn't you?" I nodded. "But your too blind to see" I muttered. "Claire" mom stared at me sternly. "It'll be alright. Your almost 16, you don't have to worry about our judgement" she advised me before disapperating with dad. I hugged Harry. "Take you back?" I asked. Harry nodded, locking me in a small hug.
