I prowled the fields, slowly I raised my crafted bow, and took out a arrow, it was thin, and had feathers from pigeons Elf caught. Twang! Twang! Twang! J let 3 arrows out, striking the small herd of 2 does and a buck. I dragged the seers one by one to my storage house. It was bigger then my house and was just like a big cooler. It was protected by twigs intertwined, and and a short wall of logs, that had deer leather tied as the door. I had a few pairs of shoes from the deer leather, most of it I used for Elf's bed and to clothe the "coolers." I had 10 bags, I used them for carrying things. One I had added twine to for holding money when I came into town. I took out my wooden box, and opened it slowly to uncover a knife. The blade was black, and had diamond gems on each side. One day I was traveling in the forest when I found a young boy. He wore rusted armor, and was around 19. The same age as me. He was sick, and left to die. For the army had no medicine for the sick. I carried him back and placed him on my bed, covering him in the wool blanket. "Hello?" I gave him water from a cup, and made soup from the vegetables that grew around my house. In neat patches, soaked from the rain. He was well enough to talk, and told me about the war. After 2 weeks of helping him, I sent him on his way. With 20 coins, and a pouch with meat and carrots. "Follow the river, you'll have easy drinking water. And the river runs through the town. You'll know what to do from there." The boy bowed, and trudged away, tossing a coin from hand to hand. I missed the company, a few months later Elf died. I was so alone, and spent my time eating vegetables and deer meat. Until the boy returned, he was a prince now. ""What do you wish for?"he asked softly, and placed my pouch on the table. "A family...and a better house." "Done and done" he said. "Thank you-" I realized I ever got his name. "Don" Me and Don packed up my belongings, every last wooden thing, we picked the last vegetables, even took apart the houses slowly. He took me to the palace, his dad was the king. And was happy to find his son alive, after hanging every soldier who had returned for leaving his son. "Is this the girl?" "I'm Angela" I said. Servants led me to a empty room, except for torches on the walls. "My father wants you to be are herbalist"said Don. "You did save my life." I smiled and got to work. My shop turned into a eerie type if palace. I had removed the torches, to place my candles around the room. The walls were lined with strange potions, or leaves. Don was a regular visitor, he usually helped me out in the shop, or checked on my new cat, Herb when I couldn't. I was given a royal cloak, and even a diamond chain necklace from Don with a diamond carved leaf as a charm. It was also my engagement present. The wedding party was amazing, the war ended so I closed the herb shop down. I visited it occasionally to get special potions for a bad virus or any type of sickness or cut. We had 3 kids Ella, Chris, and Emerald.
Hey it's Emerald! My mom died a few years back, I'm 23 now. And married, anyway, about us. Dad died in his sleep, it was sad but he was 86 years old. I took up my mom's job, there want much to do. So I got a part-time job at a jewelry shop. Chris went mining, it was usually all he cared about. Until the mine collapsed when Chris was 26. He was the oldest, Ella was unfortunate in my point of view. She married a peasant named John. She got a job at a local bakery, while John had a job at a forge and would be free for 3 days a week. Having to work full-time for 4 days. I have 1 child named Archer. Chris has 3 boys, named Tammy, Sam, and Joseph. Ella has 1 girl, Alexa.
That's our story, from my mom, a girl who ran away from home. Gave hospitality to the prince and we ended up like this! The herb job is remarkable and crazy. I love it anyway. I can hate Ella, but mom was a peasant too! (Ugh don't remind me)
