Esmerelda was asleep during the ride. Fuego flew slower so Esmerelda could sleep longer. Elliot stared at Esmerelda. I was curled up not sure what to do. Fuego's saddle was a circle on his back. So it wasn't like a horse saddle. "Are you cold?" asked Elliot. I sat up, it had been 4 days. We had been trying to reach the elf village deep in the forest of Neverland. "Kinda" I admitted. Hoping Elliot wouldn't put a blanket on me. "I can't believe this happened..." he smiled weakly. Fuego spiraled in the air and dropped down. "Fuego!" "We're here" he said. Elliot awoke Esmerelda as I gathered the supplies. "Where's the place?" I asked. A big tree was twisted together, it had a door, with leaves painted on it. The door swung open, an elf came out. "My queen we've been expecting you" the elf led me in. As another elf guided Fuego inside through a bigger way. A small elf girl held out a brilliant leaf crown. That had soft strips of bark and leaves intwined. With a metal golden leaf on the front. "Your a queen" said Elliot. I shook my head. "It's all happening so fast" the elf took me up to the throne, bowed, and then scurried off to help with the ceremony. 3 elves stood on my left side. They came up one by one to address themselves. "I am Saruk" Saruk was a sleek man, with long white-blond hair and orange eyes. "My queen" he bowed "I am Elessera" he smiled. "You were well named. I said, Elessera get my friends. Elliot and Esmerelda a room. The nicest one we have." Elessera bowed and rushed off to finish the deed. The last man stood up, he was no older then me. He was slender, with short brown hair, and green eyes the color of new grown moss. "My name..." Saruk shot the boy a death glare. "Do not let are queen wait" whispered Saruk. The boy straightened up and finished his sentence. "Teddy." Saruk looked away in disgust. "Saruk what troubles you?" "His name, he is an elf. And Teddy is not in are customs." Saruk bowed, and backed up to be aligned with Teddy. I "retired" to my bedroom after the long ceremony. Fuego was there with Teddy. Who was petting him calmly. "Sorry I don't hope to intrude" I raised a hand and Teddy fell silent. "He likes you" said Fuego touched my mind. "Kiss him!" "It's not like that..." I did it anyway. "My queen.." "My name is Luna... Teddy" Elliot came in. "You got cozy right away" he said, and stormed back out. "He watched" said Fuego. Teddy sat in the chair, running his fingers through his hair.
"I am breaking every rule in the book." I said. Feeling Teddy's breath on my cheek. "My queen!" I heard Elessera call. I backed away from Teddy as Elessera came down the steps. "Your wanted, we had the meeting changed." He glared at Teddy, "the council will like to see you also Teddy."
"It is forbidden for relationships!" Teddy stomped his foot. The council leader raised his hand. "My queen is it true you 2 had a romantic relationship." "Yes but-" "Then it's finished. Teddy will be exiled tomorrow." " I am the queen, Teddy's life is spared!" I yelled, grabbing Teddy's hand. Te council leader narrowed his eyebrows. "I am daughter of Lune and Fanghur. It's a bad idea to anger me" I snapped. And left with Teddy. "Thanks" said Teddy, I giggled. "I'll show you the gardens." The gardens had a giant fountain. Their best spell caster made it so rose petals would spear and flow down with the water. I stared at the water, leaning against Teddy. I kissed him, as the sun hit the water at just the right moment. "I went here everyday when I was young" said Teddy. "It's a pleasure to share this place with the queen." "It is Teddy" I said. "Luna's a pretty name" he said, he picked up a rose petal and handed it to me. I smiled weakly, he then slipped away to finish his guard duties. I sat back on the bench and cried. I thought if Elliot. "Did you actually like Elliot ever?" I thought. Elliot then came up. "You busy?" I missed his voice. I shook my head and placed the rose petal back into the water. "Pretty view huh?" He glided his fingers through the cold clear water. I nodded, and came up beside Elliot. "How's Esmerelda?" "Doing well, but you won't know that since your with Teddy" he had an angry look. More tears streamed down my face, and I raced off to my room. "Luna wait" he said sadly, and kicked the fountain. "How does he not understand I love Teddy. He's just a friend!" Fuego shrugged, and continued eating his giant meal. "I don't think much of Teddy either" he said. "Fuego, your my dragon. Don't leave me too" I flopped onto my bed. "Elliot's a great friend, but I like Teddy too much." All I could do was close my eyes, and hope the situation would blow over. Teddy came to my room, it got much much worse. Teddy smiled weakly. "I'm back" he said. And then turned away. "I've excepted the exile." I look at him, and rested my head in my hands. "No..." Teddy put an arm on my shoulder.
NEXT DAY "Teddy" the council leader mumbled and shoved Teddy in front of the spell caster. I ran over. "Wait.." "My queen" "Wait!" I held Teddy, he looked at my red hair. I kissed him. "Red" he mumbled. His head fell back, I turned toward the council leader. "You monster!" I shoved Teddy into the spell caster's arms and ran off. "I hate being queen" I said, flying above the clouds with Fuego. He dived around to lighten my mood. "What about Elliot?" Fuego asked. "He's a friend Fuego" I said, crying even more. Fuego dove down and let me off. Elliot was waiting, holding Esmerelda's hand. "How old is Fuego?" asked Esmerelda pretending to be a dragon flying in the air. I choked out a laugh, such a sweet little girl. Elliot put an arm around me and led me inside. "Thanks" I said. Elliot nodded, Esmerelda rolled on the floor. "Elliot-" "Yeah" he lifted his head. "Follow me. Can you stay here Esmerelda?" I asked sweetly. Esmerelda nodded and ran back to Fuego. "This is the fountain, Teddy showed me" I said. "I remember" said Elliot. Suddenly, Elliot clutched my arm with great force. And he fell to the ground. "Saruk!" I screamed, he rushed up to my side. "I need a doctor" I said, clutching Elliot. I pressed my head against his. "You'll live."
"Where are we going?" asked Esmerelda, she bounced up and down. "To see Elliot" I said, going down the long hallway. Elliot lay in bed, he was pale. And gasped for breath. "Luna" he said, I smiled. And led Esmerelda forward. "I'll be right back" I said. I closed the door and turned to Saruk. "Thank you...what attacked him." Saruk shook his head. "The dark spirit, Aliga. Every year she tries to take out our queen. By killing them closest to her." I stared at the door. "I want my dragon, Esmerelda, and Elliot on 24 hour watch. For this- Aliga." Saruk bowed and hurried off. I went back in. "So how do you feel?" I asked. "My inside are burning, and" he groaned as he tried to lift his left arm. I placed my hands on it. "Don't move it" I said. The lights flickered and burned out. "I see mom" I heard Elliot whisper. "Aliga!" shrieked Esmerelda. "You can't take my brother." "That isn't Aliga, it's mom" a figure was at the foot of Elliot's bed. It was a woman, that resembled Esmerelda. With curly hair, and soft blue eyes. Saruk rushed in, holding a lantern. "We've been attacked" my eyes rushed to the bed. Elliot was gone. With only a hole in the ceiling. I rushed to Fuego. I saw Aliga, she was flying. And in her arms, was Elliot. I got up at the same level of Aliga. She sent spells at me. I deflected them, millions of spell swarming in my head. Elliot opened one eye. "I saw mom" he was drugged. And loopy, I was sure of it. Suddenly a spell hit Fuego right in the eye. Fuego spiraled around unexpectedly, and three me off. My body ached from Aliga's spell. Just in time Fuego caught me. My breath was scarce. And it felt like I wouldn't live any longer. "She-" I gasped "she has Elliot." Saruk supported me, and guided me to the healer.
"What-" the healer put a finger to his mouth. I tried to sit up. Pain wracked my body, and I slouched back down. "Your not done" said the healer. The healer lifted their hood, to reveal an elf girl no older then 20. "I'm Rastia." I closed my eyes, as Rastia adjusted my arm. "How is it?" Rastia asked. "Pains all over" I muttered. "I never knew my queen would be so young." Rastia bowed. "No offense to my queen." "None taken" I raised a head. "Did you hear of the execution?" asked Rastia. "Yes...Teddy right?" I said pretending to have no idea. Rastia looked away. "You knew him?" "Really well" said Rastia. "I kind of knew him, he was a good...guard" I said. Rastia bowed, her brown locks blocking her face. "You look like him" I said. "He was my stepbrother, I called him Kimoshu. It means little brother in the elven language." "Thank you" I said. "Anything for my queen." I tossed and turned all night. Teddy...Elliot...my queen. Ever since I had run away. I thought about my family. My mom actually crying I was gone, I chuckled at the wild dream. Fuego snorted to warm me up, I mumbled a word of gratitude. And returned to my pondering.
"Luna!" exclaimed Elliot, I smiled. "Luna help! Aliga captured me, remember I am at Aliga's peak!" I awoke with a jump, I thought of my dream it felt so REAL. "Saruk, what is Aliga's Peak?" I asked that afternoon. Saruk sat down next to the throne and closed his eyes. "Aliga takes her victims there. They are able to send dream messages, but then when they come they are ambushed and killed." "I want to go there" I said plainly, Saruk's eyes blinked open. "My queen!" "My friend is going to die!" "She gave you what you wanted to see" said Saruk, raising his voice. I grabbed my sword and stormed out of the throne room. "My queen!" I gave him the cold shoulder. "My queen I am your protector. Can't take you out of it, then I go." I nodded and went to the dragon hold. Where Fuego lay devouring his giant glob of meat. "Aliga's Peak" I said, Fuego lifted his head. Shook in disappointment, and shifted his side so me and Saruk coul
