I've arrived in the county
Not renowned for its bounty
But rather the phrases
Of now familiar faces
The neighbourhood is peaceful
Affluent and successful
I'm ushered to the front door
My feet hardly touch the floor
Inside it's just as I remember
Like the first time I saw it last December
When things were strange
And all of it seemed deranged
The table lamp I chose
In the shape of a rose
Is already on
I'm surprised it hadn't gone
I volunteer to make some tea
It's the least I can do you see
But you pull me in
And It's no longer in sin
I could stay like this
And will cherish this kiss
Forever and a day
Until the sun sets on our perfect bay
