So we've tried every option Every pathway available To be the lovers that we want to be But forcing the issue isn't working you see

I'd rather have you in my life as a friend Whose there till the end Rather than force or pretend So the loving must come to an end

So good friends is where we are at Both sitting like contented cats Safe in the knowledge that We are close friends Here till the end!
