I just can't stop myself
I just can't get you out of my head
I wasn't prepared to sit on your shelf
I thought everything was done and said.

But there you are
In my thoughts
You used to be my shining star
I hated it when we fought.

I miss you as a friend
I understand why you released me
I just wish our friendship didn't have to end
I wonder sometimes if you ever daydream of me.

You are a man of many emotions
You keep your cards tight
You always appear to be going through the motions
But forgetting about you just doesn't seem right.
