A gypsy moving from land to land Can't cast a spell for I have no magic wand Can read the past and future too Some leave here sad and blue
Sometime long ago I read my future in my crystal ball When he came into my tent with a confused soul Saw our paths and saw us holding hands But he didn't know then where does his heart stand
So with my tambourine I moved to many other lands Dancing and singing but love was banned For I hoped one day to meet him again And maybe he will be ready for our story to begin
Then one day he came back in my tent And I did recognize his enchanting scent Again he asked about the future and his past And asked if I have any spells to cast
Started looking at my crystal ball Saw him this time heading for a fall For he is still hooked on his past And still hoping it would last
I can't see me in his future anymore But I see him smiling but his heart is a bit sore For he decided to stand still And forced happiness against his will
So I told him his read and let him go He wasn't really happy with what I saw But I had to tell him about his unhappy road For I have to follow my gypsy code
But before he got out of my tent he stopped and asked "Can you cast any spells to change my luck and bring happiness my way?" I said "I got no magic wand and spells I can't cast But if you follow your heart and wash your eyes from this sand maybe your luck will change one day"
He left my tent and I felt so empty Tears fell from my eyes and they were plenty I waited so long with a love so strong Not knowing that I will be dancing to this sad song
But time to move on to another land Tears washed away a love so grand A gypsy with a tambourine in my hand A gypsy that can cast a spell but I vowed never to use my magic wand
