Don't you dare treat me with disgrace I am the Egyptian woman Who stands against oppression and stare death in the face
I am the Egyptian woman A mother, sister, daughter and lover I am the Egyptian woman A teacher, doctor, farmer and even an agent under cover
I am the Egyptian woman I am Hatshepsut and Cleopatra in case you forgot I am the Egyptian woman I raised generations from Ramses to Sadat so stop saying "you cannot"
I am the Egyptian woman Dare you to give me one reason to be scared of you I am the Egyptian woman I will fight for my rights even though I am one and you are more than two
------------------------------------------------ Am not sure if it celebrates the day...it's my take as an Egyptian woman against the uprising trend in Egypt ( and some/a lot of areas in the Middle East) treating women as objects and wanting to put them back in "their place" at home and cover them all up so as not to be "promiscuous and be raped". So this is me screaming at all the #?!*!ers who believe and acts upon that .
