It's her wedding night today I always waited for that day Now it's here And I can't help but shed a tear
She is my baby girl I am supposed to give her away She is wearing her mother's pearls She looks like a princess from when she used to play
I am happy that she found love I asked why this man She said this man will love me and never be tough
I raised her well and I don't doubt her choice But she is my baby girl and worrying is not a choice
I held her hands to take her to school I held her tight to jump in the pool I wiped her tears when she needed me to I was there crying when school was through
Now is her day to give her away To a man who loves her by the way
Seeing her all dressed in white With her hair all up and held tight Made me stop and cry And remember all that went by
I remember her first day on earth She was so tiny with such angelic face Look at her now all grown up Starting her own life and all grown up
I am not sad I will tell you this But my little princess for sure I will miss I give her a kiss And I take her down the aisle with tears none the less
I gave her away to the man of her dreams And all I can see is my little princess
