I enjoy sitting with people following any faith. Usually of course the conversation ends up with "I respect your views and let's talk about something else". Anyway was sitting with a Muslim friend drinking and she said do you know that in Islam God said not to kneel to anyone but him, however he ordered the angels to kneel for us....etc do you know why? After a lot of guessing why she finally gave me the answer (translated): "because when god created us he gave us our souls by breathing/blowing a part of his into us. So that makes us like mini gods" So couldn't help but ask "But what you just said goes against Islam as in there is only one God... And if we are all mini gods that goes against the good and evil thing going on and if so why is there heaven and hell? .....etc
So we changed the conversation and talked about something else after she prayed for me to find the "righteous path"
I don't mind the concept I really don't...just have difficulty processing info that is very contradicting. I am sure she meant well and maybe she truly believes her answer but JUST THINK maybe there are other reasons that one can come up with.
I am not trying to display Islam in a bad way (have my notebook to do that filled with contradictions) but I find when it comes to religion a lot of people follow one but don't know why
Not opening another debate about religion here or why do angels actually kneel to humans just displaying my point of view
