They are playing the back 9 when a foursome in front of them are taking an inordinate amount of time. When they ask a local on the green about the nature of the delay the local informs them that the foursome in front are in fact firemen that lost their eyesight attempting to save kids from a burning building.
Upon hearing this the group was humbled. The lawyer said he would attempt to sue the building owners on their behalf to get them some money. The doctor offered to consult his patrons to see about tending to their eyesight. The engineer asked:- "why can't they golf at night??"
