My father was a soldier He fought in many wars His helmets in cupboard Laying behind its doors
My father was a soldier Yet he had a heart of gold He used to send us postcards There still within my hold
My father was a soldier He lived a fulfilled life Until his body lay down All because of a knife
My father was a soldier And that we won't forget He only did his duty That's what led to death.
Dedicated to all the brave men out there. God will bring peace xxx
