Death

Am I in the back of your mind?
Do you think I follow behind?
Are you scared of my presence?
Worried of my sour essence?
I'm here to take your friends away,
Starting with the eldest, day by day.
Everyone you've ever known,
Will be taken until you're all alone.
I'll get you too, when it's right.
When the time is far from bright.
I'm guilty for your lasting pain.
There's nothing from this I really gain.
Do I have a face?
Is it snowy lace?
Colours sucked from me,
Black cloak drapes despairingly.
All I know
When I meet life, slow,
I'll save you from the horrors within.
Reunite you with your kin.
You don't know which will be your last breath.
Wait and wonder... I am death.

Death

@acorns. @augustwriteaday. My name is Death. I'll come for you. When you least. Expect me to. In your car. On the train. Bright sunlight. Or driving rain. In the day. Or in the night.
