Life

The promises died in his icy white breath,
He sat there and waited for her nearing death.

She told him she loved him and she didn't mind,
She only felt guilty for leaving him behind.

He wandered and waited waiting to be told,
But he only felt his promises dying in the cold.

He froze at his surrender then uttered another lie,
"What if I lose you in heaven, later when I die?"

So he took a deep breath in the night,
And sighed in smoky white.

He reviewed his painful, worthless life,
Then took if swiftly with a knife.

High above the turquoise sea. Winds blow strong. Seagulls flee. Watching as the sky turns grey. Storm clouds brew. I sit and stay. On the rocks, hard and cold. My heart feels young. My body old.

Wedding

He looked at her, With her veil white. He though it familiar, His chest went tight. Everything faded, He drew back breath. Her eyes were jaded, Laced with death. He opened his eyes, Laid in fear.
