We lay under the stars,
Far from city lights and fast cars.
Watching the moon drift by,
Sailing across the indigo sky.
Looking down across the plain,
With nothing but green and sparking rain.
Tearful endings of our voice,
We were alone with no choice.
Long gone is the sunny day,
You pick yourself up and walk away,
For heart-break I've been elected,
But that was certainly unexpected
