Not Getting Up

It's morning, but feels like night
It's pitch dark, not a hint of light
I'm lying in my bed, thinking about the one
And about the football match, and about who won

I'm thinking I have to get up, stand up, start up
Start the day, meet my friends and say our usual "sup?!"
But I know I won't be able to
As long as I'm here in my bed, writing to you

But I really have to get going
And look! It's snowing!
After I finish writing this
I'll turn around and steal my morning kiss

Good morning everyone!

Spuds On Your Shoulder

A little help is all I give. No need to be so defensive. Politely say what you need to say. And I will gladly go away. A little chip, as we grow older. May be found upon our shoulder.
