We are humans.
We separate us from animals because we can think about things that they can't.
We are aware of ourselves and we can think ahead. We have fantasy, we can imagine things that don't exist.
Take for example a physicist. He or she is made up of atoms, just like everything else in the universe. This means that a physicist is atoms trying to understand themselves.
