i turned 29 years old last week. i am the father of a beautiful 3 year old girl.
i was napping in my recliner on my birthday when my wife and daughter came home. my little girl awoke me with a happy birthday balloon and a birthday card she had spent a good deal of time, for a 3 year old, picking out.
it had to be absolutely perfect. it was a cartoon of a daddy gorilla and a baby gorilla with birthday hats on. she informed me that i was the daddy gorilla and she was the baby gorilla.
she jumped in my lap, hugged me, and said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!", she even signed the card herself and drew a picture of me.
that was the single greatest feeling of my entire life so far. i cant wait for more precious moments like that.
it makes me smile and makes my eyes water just telling the story. i love my family.
