A beloved God father gave a girl a magical toy, From a nutcracker he made her a little soldier boy.
With toy in hand curled up under the tree she falls asleep The house falls prey to silence, there's not even a creak.
At midnight the clock chimes and she finds herself awake Surrounded by oversized mice, she makes for her escape.
Before her eyes the little nutcracker soldier comes to life The Mouse King prepares his mice and tells them to fight.
The soldier with his army spring to the little girls defence The battle that pursues is terrifying and really rather tense.
The soldier sees his opportunity and the king is defeated The Nutcracker is transformed, by a prince the girl is greeted.
He smiles, tells her not to worry and takes her by the hand They meet the Sugar Plum Fairy in her wonderful magical land.
Eating candy canes they watch the beautiful waltz of the flowers By graceful dancers they are entertained until the morning hours.
When all is finished the little girl wakes once more beneath the tree Holding the Nutcracker tight, wishing the dream had been a reality.
