Omg! What an eventful night,
at 4am just got to sleep then woke with a fright.
BOOM! was the sound that greeted my ears,
It even woke Poppie and reduced her to tears.
And where was my guy? still asleep,
Seems his date with dreamland he needed to keep!
Aww bless him he's tired I thought <3
But a few more loud bangs and I became over wrought.
So I woke him up from his date with his sleep,
and told him he should go and take a peep.
And what did we find but our drunken neighbour,
he'd lost his keys and was in need of a saviour.
He'd been trying to kick the door in,
but seems it was a battle that he couldn't win.
Not wanting to pay a locksmiths overpriced fee,
"Please kick it in mate" was his slurred plea.
So my guy huffed and he buffed and he kicked it in,
Mmmm watching him flex his muscles I couldn't help but grin.
Once back inside I had a new job for him to begin,
well maybe a joint venture into a little bit of sin ;)
And we received an unexpected gift to say cheers,
so thank you Mike for the flowers, cuddly bear and the beers!
