Entering the bedroom of this old and run down place
My eyes settle on the old throw trimmed with Antique lace
Exquisitely embroidered with old gold coloured thread
A family heirloom, that adorns the large four poster bed
In the opened wardrobe hangs a yellowed wedding dress
The moth eaten silk seems to tell a story, one of distress
Cobwebs festoon and hang from the raised ornate ceiling
A room that time has forgotten and yet it is still so appealing
